Egypt expects growth to reach 3 percent in the six months to the end of June this year, Planning Minister Ashraf Al-Araby was quoted by state-owned news agency on Wednesday.
The fiscal year is expected to end with an average economic growth of 4 percent, he added.
Following a popular uprising in 2011 against Hosni Mubarak, economic growth slowed to two percent before recovering to 5.6 percent in the first half of the current fiscal year.
