Egypt's strategic wheat reserves are enough to last until early March, the country's reappointed supply minister Khaled Hanafi said on Saturday.

The new reserve figure was released after Egypt's state-owned General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC) bought 230,000 tonnes of French, Ukrainian and Russian wheat on Friday in a tender.
