Egypt stocks have begun a cautious recovery after a week of losses with the EGX30 benchmark index closing Sunday trade up 0.27 per cent at 5,035 points.

Total market turnover was LE339.6 million, nearly a sixth taken up by trades in investment bank Pioneers Holding.

From 178 listed stocks, 119 gained and 50 declined.
