Egyptian stocks are beginning to bounce back from yesterday's slump with the benchmark EGX30 up 1.62 per cent an hour into the three-hour session.

The index slipped around 0.9 per cent on Wednesday as the televised opening session of the trial of Egypt's ousted president distracted traders and investors alike, slashing turnover to a 10-year low of LE239 million (US$40m).
