Over EGP 2 million raised through text messages since Sisi speech: 'Long Live Egypt' Fund director

Long Live Egypt Fund's executive director Mohamed Ashmawy said 460,000 text messages were received as part the president's 'Say good morning to Egypt' campaign, raising EGP 2.3 million, Ahram Arabic website reported on Friday.

President El-Sisi had invited Egyptians during his speech last Wednesday to send one text message in the morning to raise money for Egypt.

The speech was delivered during a conference to present Egypt's economic and development vision.
