Egypt stocks edge back to green

Major Egyptian stocks have swung back into the green, the benchmark EGX30 closing Wednesday trade up 0.71 per cent at 4,664 points.

From 178 listed stocks, 109 gained and 49 declined. Most sectors showed modest rises with the exception of foods, industrial goods and chemicals which declined.

Market turnover was LE292.7 million, a notable improvement on Tuesday's performance when trade volume fell to its lowest in some six years.
