Egypt's leading listed bank, Commercial international Bank (CIB), reversed on Wednesday a February decision to appoint former central bank governor Hisham Ramez, the bank said in a statement sent to the Bourse.

Ramez has been appointed as the chairman of the United Arab Bank, the statement said.

In February, the CIB said it had appointed Ramez as vice chairman and managing director.

Ramez was the governor of the central bank from February 2013 to November 2015.
