Egypt's stocks rise Wednesday as foreigners buy

Egypt's listed blue-chip shares Commercial International Bank (CIB), Telecom Egypt (TE) and EFG Hermes saw gains on Wednesday, driving up the main index as non-Arab foreign investors ended the trading as net buyers. 

The benchmark index EGX30 increased 1.19 percent to 7,572 points.

CIB rose 1.22 percent to EGP 43 per share, investment bank EFG Hermes rose 2.49 percent to EGP 11.65 a share, and state-run Telecom Egypt increased 3.66 percent to EGP 9.07 a share.

The daily turnover for the listed securities registered EGP 547 million.
