Egypt stocks trading up 1 per cent during Monday session

Brazilian deal for Egypt's largest listed firm helps lift the Bourse benchmark

Egypt's main stock index is trading up 1.02 per cent at 4,356 points, 90 minutes before the close of Tuesday's session.

News that Orascom Construction Industries (OCI), Egypt's largest listed firm, is participating in a US$3 billion fertiliser plant venture in Brazil has prompted a 2.7 per cent rise in its shares, helping lift the benchmark.
 
Market turnover is currently LE142 million.
