Egypt's foreign reserves drop by 4.4 pct in December: CBE

Egypt’s foreign currency reserves dropped by 4.4 percent to reach $42.5 billion in December, compared to $44.5 billion in November, an official source at the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) said on Monday.

The source relied the recent drop in the foreign currency reserves to the government's payment of loan interest and treasury bills ‎to foreign investors.
