The trade exchange between Egypt and Algeria hit $938 million last year, the Egyptian Commercial Service Authority said on Thursday.
Egyptian exports to Algeria are estimated at $550 million and include finished and intermediate goods as well as raw materials.
Egyptian imports from Algeria were valued at $399 million.
The statement noted that deputy chairman of the authority Wael Aref took part in a meeting at the Algerian Trade Ministry and requested that Algeria reconsider the list of products with additional taxes.
