The four banks that issued the New Suez Canal saving certificates will start disbursing on Thursday the interest to certificate holders at a rate of 12 percent.

Based on a five-year investment plan, the certificates yielded 12 percent benefits from EGP 64 billion invested in the project, set to be disbursed to holders on 4 September, chairman and managing director of the Suez Canal Bank Hussein Refaie told MENA on Wednesday.

The four banks are the National Bank of Egypt (NBE), Banque Misr, Banque du Caire and the Suez Canal Bank.
