Egypt's Capmas (Ahram Online)
The volume of trade exchange between Egypt and the US hits $3.7 billion in the first half of 2019, against $3.4 billion in the corresponding period in 2018, according to the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).
In a statement on Sunday, CAPMAS said Egypt's exports to the US stood at $1 billion in the first half of 2019, against $841.784 million in the same period in 2018, at a 19.9 percent rise.
Egyptian imports to the US recorded $2.7 billion in the first six months of 2019, at a 4.1 percent uptick, in comparison with the same period in 2018.
The net US investments in Egypt in the first half of the 2018-2019 fiscal year reached $1.70 billion at a 5.2 percent rise, in comparison with the same period in the 2017-2018 fiscal year.
