Egypt’s Minister of Public Enterprise Hisham Tawfik said the ministry was set to establish a new enterprise for mediation and marketing, as part of the Gosor project to open new markets that provided logistics to boost trade between Egypt and African countries.
Tawfik made his statements during a meeting held on Wednesday with CMA CGM Group, a French container transportation and shipping company.
He added that the ministry wanted to employ an international company to run Gosor (meaning "bridges") and its integrated logistics and services chain, and prepare an e-guide of the Egyptian commodities that meet the demands of African markets.
The chairman of French company, Jacques R Saadé, praised Egypt’s Gosor project, said he wanted to cooperate with Gosor and introduce the support, services, and experiences of his company.
The company officials said they would focused their attention on cooperating with Egypt’s Holding Co For Maritime and Land Transport in the field of containers handling in a number of projects with the Alexandria, Port Said, and Damietta containers handling companies.
