Al-Ahram's third annual energy conference concluded on Monday, emphasising the necessity to boost efforts that aim to transform Egypt into a regional hub for energy.

The conference called for expanding in projects regarding making use of Egypt’s petroleum products and establishing added-value industries.

The conference called for making popular the petroleum sector’s model of youth empowerment that qualifies them for leading positions, in addition to reinforcing digital transformation policy in the electricity and petroleum sectors.

The conference called for increasing investments in domestic manufacturing, transmission equipment, energy distribution, and intelli-meters.

Conference recommendations included boosting cooperation between the ministries of electricity and petroleum and the private sector for the sake of implementing upgraded investment projects.

The conference asserted the importance of implementing Egypt’s policy that aims at enhancing cooperation with African countries in energy projects under Egypt’s President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi's initiative launched in Paris in 2015.
