Market Update: Egypt stocks close Wed up 0.35 pct

Bourse sees its fourth successive day of gains on the back of Morsi's presidential victory

Egypt's main stock index has finished in the green for the third day following Mohamed Morsi's presidential victory.

The benchmark EGX30 closed Wednesday up 0.35 per cent at 4,628 points.
 
Trading volume was over LE370 million (approx $62m), with OTMT and EFG-Hermes seeing the heaviest trade.
 
The broader EGX70, however, dipped 0.55 per cent.
 
The weekend announcement of victory for the Muslim Brotherhood's presidential candidate pushed the index up 7.6 per cent on Monday, the fourth-biggest gain since it was created in 1998. It gained a further 2.9 per cent on Tuesday.
