Egypt's major stocks charted mild gains on Monday, the b enchmark EGX30 closing the session up 0.46 per cent at 4.740.5 points.

The broader EGX70 moved in the opposite direction, dipping 0.1 per cent.

From the 171 stocks traded on Monday, 66 gained in value and 82 fell. Turnover was a limited LE292.3 million (under $50m).
