Elmayyatekaddeb el-ghattas
Translation: Water gives the lie to the fake diver
Meaning: This proverb, still in common use, is equivalent to “the proof is in the pudding”. Stop bragging about our swimming skills and just show us. You can use it with people who claim to be good artists, athletes, communicators, etc.
