الدفا بالعين
El dafa bel ein
Translation: Warmth is felt through the eye.
Meaning: This proverb, no longer in use, is about how the human mind works. If you see a bonfire, or people sitting around in what seems like a cosy and warm place, you will be comforted. The warmth of the surroundings are detected through the eyes before the rest of the senses.
