The competition was praised for its organisation, services, quality of courses, and the lively spirit between the competitors. Ayman Hussein, head of the Egyptian Golf Federation, said the competition was ideal in terms of organisation and hosting. On the challenging course, the competition was intense, he added.

The head of the Egyptian Golf Federation said the first Madinaty Open Golf Competition was a great addition to the sport in Egypt and is in line with the policy of development the federation adopts to widen the base of the sport and increase the number of golfers.

Hassan Ismail, a golfer in the national team, concurred. He called on youth to play golf to learn about patience, passion, and focus. It is a sport “practised in vast green spaces and awe-inspiring natural sceneries, such as on the golf courses of Madinaty,” Ismail said.

English golfer John Sainz said the championship was exquisitely organised. He praised the quality of the Madinaty golf courses, saying the Madinaty championship is one of the best tournaments he has ever taken part in worldwide in terms of the professional organisation and the significant service.

Russian golfer Angelina Gordiko said Madinaty’s is the best golf course in which she practised the sport in Egypt. It is a difficult course, which makes the game more competitive, she stated, adding that she prefers challenging games.

More than 90 golfers from about 10 nationalities competed for two days in the first Madinaty Open Golf Competition on Madinaty’s golf courses which were designed according to the latest international standards by Robert Trent Jones Junior, one of the most famous golf course architects in the world. He designed more than 270 golf courses in about 40 countries and his architectural designs were selected among the best worldwide.

Madinaty’s golf courses are managed by Troon, one of the world’s best companies specialising in managing and maintaining golf courses.
