00:10 Hossam Bakr advances to the quarter-finals after beating Dieudonne Seyi Ntsengue of Cameroon 3-0.

22:45 Maha Amer finished the women's diving 3m springboard at the 28th place with 238.55 pts.

22:13 Sailor Ahmed Ragab finished the Laser men race 8 at the 42nd place timing 57:06m.

20:45 Sailor Ahmed Ragab finished the Laser men race 7 at the 42nd place timing 51:10m.

20:30 Egyptian swimmer Ahmed Akram finished fifth in heat 6 of 1500m freestyle. He missed the final as he finished at the 11th place timing 14:58.37m.

19:30 Egyptian shooter Ahmed Shaaban finished 22nd in the qualification of the 25m rapid fire pistol with a record of 278-x1.

19:25 The Laser race events where Egyptian sailor Ahmed Ragab is competing have been delayed due to weather conditions.

19:17 Egypt's fencing team finished 7th at the Rio olympics after beating Brazil 45-39 in the classification 7-8. 

19:02 Shooter Azmy Mehelba finished third in the qualifiers Day 1 hitting 74 target. Fellow countryman Franco Donato finished 27 with a score of 68. They will play the second day of qualifiers on Saturday.

18:29 Swimmer Farida Osman finished second of her heat 9 in the 50m freestyle timing 24.91s. She fails to reach the semis after finishing 18th in the overall ranking.

16:30 Egypt's fencing team lost to Great Britain 45-35 in the teams classification 5-8.  They will face Brazil in the classification 7-8

16:15 The Egyptian table tennis women team has been eliminated from the round 16 as the women's double lost 3-0 (11-7, 11-6, 11-4) to Singapore.  

15:48 Nadine El-Doletli lost the second game 2-1 (4-11, 11-9, 4-11) in table tennis against Tianwei Feng. Singapore women team are leading 2-0 against Egypt.

15:35 Judoka Islam El-Shehaby lost by Ippon from Israeli Or Sasson in the round 32 of the +100 kg.

15:24 Runner Hamada Mohamed finished fourth in heat 2 of the 800m event timing 1:46.65m. He will contest the semis early on Saturday.

14:38 Egypt's fencing team are now trailing 24-25 to US after five rounds. Mohamed Essam lost 4-8 in the fifth round.

14:30 Egypt's fencing team are now leading against US 20-17 after four rounds. Tarek Ayad lost 5-6 in this round to trim Egypt's lead.
