Zimbabwe have failed to depart in time for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations finals in Gabon due to a row over finances between the national team players and the country's football association.
The Warriors were supposed to fly on Saturday to Cameroon, where they would play a friendly with the Indomitable Lions on Tuesday, before heading for Gabon later.
The players, however, refused to attend a farewell dinner with country's acting president in Harare in protest over some late dues dating back to the Cup of Nations qualifiers, with them also demanding a 5000$ per game in the Gabon finals.
And with the Zimbabwe Football Association reportedly offering only half the sum each game, players were understandably angry as they abstained from attending Friday's send-off dinner.
It remains to be seen how the issue is going to be solved, with the team reportedly not ready to boycott the biennial tournament that begins on January 14.
Zimbabwe, who were drawn in a crunch B alongside Algeria, Tunisia and Senegal, open their Africa Cup of Nations campaign with a game against the Desert Warriors on 15 January in Franceville.
