Ghana's fullback Baba Rahman will not be available for the rest of the Nations cup as the Schalke player is set to return to Germany for more examination after injuring his knee.
The 22-year-old was replaced in the Black Stars' 1-0 win over Uganda in Tuesday's Group D opener after picking up a knee injury.
"Initial diagnosis of #Baba's injury shows a bruised meniscus. The #S04 man is returning to Gelsenkirchen for further examination," Schalke said on their official Twitter account on Wednesday.
Ghana, who are leading the group with three points, are bidding to win their first Nations Cup title in 39 years.
