Mbappe’s record
Kylian Mbappe became France's youngest World Cup goalscorer as he scored Les Bleurs goal against Peru 1-0 on Thursday to reach the last 16 and condemn the South Americans to an early exit. Paris Saint-Germain forward Mbappe - aged 19 years and 183 days - beat the record of David Trezeguet who scored against Saudi Arabia in 1998 at the age of 20 years and 246 days.

VAR takes centre stage … again
Australia grabbed a precious point against Denmark (1-1) to keep their hopes alive in the World Cup.
