El-Fusion, returning for a second year, invites oriental fusion bands from different corners of the world to the Cairo Jazz Club, each followed by local fusion bands. Invited this year are bands from Sweden, Belgium, Tunisia, Lebanon, Jordan and Palestine.
Wust El-Balad and Swedish band Tarab took to the stage on the weekend. There will be three more events in Cairo, Alexandria and Mansoura in June.
Among this year's highlights is celebrated experimental Tunisian musician Ghalia Benali, who will play in both Cairo and Mansoura.
