Egyptian emmigrant Copts celebrate nation's culture in two USA cities

Two Egyptian Festivals taking place in two cities in the USA gather Coptic communities in celebration of Egyptian arts and cuisine

The 3rd Annual Egyptian Festival and the 14th Annual Egyptian Festival 2011 organized by local Coptic Churches in Campbell and Miamisburg respectively are taking place between 26 and 29 August.

Festival held at Campbell's St George & St. Joseph Coptic Orthodox Church offers a variety of activities in addition to its worship services. The activities include Egyptian music, dance perfroamnces and traditional Egyptian dishes will be served.

According to the Campbell Patch, city's online news platform, "The festival is an attempt to educate attendees about the Egyptian Coptic community and their culture, as well to raise funds for their new church. Traditional musicians and dance performers will showcase an ancient cultural history, while modern musicians like DJ Nile, a local Coptic Christian from the area, will show a more contemporary side of this community."

During the same weekend, 26 to 29 August, St. Mina and St. Abanoub Coptic Orthodox Church, located in Miamisburg, Ohio holds the 14th Annual Egyptian Festival 2011. The event includes  "Coptic Musum displays", a bazaar organized in Khan El Khalili style, carnival and games along with the Egyptian cuisine.
