FairoNolia, a band dedicated to performing songs by Fairouz and the Raghbani Brothers, will give a concert Wednesday at Cairo's French Institute in Mounira.

The concert is a collaborative effort between the French Institute and "Magnolia Leaves of Art," a Cairo-based cafe, bookshop and art space. The band's name, FairoNolia, reflects both Fairouz's name and Magnolia as a space that gave birth to the idea.

The band's lineup includes Omneya Hesham (vocals), Jean Ghattas (guitar), Wave (flute) and Abdel Rahman (percussion).

A short documentary about Fairouz will be screened prior to the concert.

Wednesday, 30 November, 7pm
French Institute, 1 Madrasset Al Huquq El-Frinseya Street, Mounira, Cairo
