Television host Islam El-Behery returns to the screen after a one-year hiatus with the show Al-Kharita (The Map).
The show, which airs daily on the channel TEN TV during the month of Ramadan, tackles the renewal of mainstream religious discourse. Its aim is to explore the construction of religious interpretations and of rational understanding of religious texts.
TEN TV has recently undergone many changes, aiming to renew the channel and its contents. Such changes include the airing of several television series such as Kalabsh (Handcuffs), Thel Al Ra’ees (The President’s Shadow), Ezay El-Seha (How is the Health?) and more, all featuring several prominent actors and tackling a wide variety of subjects.
This is all in addition to a number of discussion programmes, such as Bel Waraka Wal Kalam (With Pen and Paper), a show hosted by caricaturist Amr Fahmy and which addresses Arab and regional affairs in a satirical way; or Sehetein (Enjoy Your Meal), a show hosted by nutrition expert Kris.
