“It’s that time of year again: The bears are out and about! On this year’s posters they’ll be popping up at well-known Berlin landmarks to get us in the mood for terrific festival days,” comments the Berlin International Film Festival's director Dieter Kosslick in the press release.

The poster series, featuring six different scenes, was designed again this year by the Swiss agency Velvet. They will go up city-wide starting on January 22.

The bear is the heraldic animal symbol of Berlin, also featured on the city’s flag.

Fittingly, the best film at the Berlinale is awarded with the Golden Bear.

The 68th Berlinale will take place between 15 and 25 February 2018.
