The general manager of the Giza Zoo Mohamed Ragaey Abdel-Hameed told Ahram Online that the zoo has celebrated the birth of four new babies: a foal, a baby gazelle, a calf and a kid.

The zoo’s medical team and barn keepers have been overjoyed over the births he said.

A team of veterinarians and keepers has been assigned to look after the babies and their mothers.

The Dutch colt (foal) was named Marwan and is the offspring of two Dutch horses named Fawzy and Loza.

The zoo also welcomed a rare African Bouga Island calf.

The zoo management and the guards are alerting visitors not to feed the animals so as not to endanger their lives, as they are fed a specially designed diet.
