In an exhibition titled Macrophobia, sculptor Kamal El-Fiky exhibits his work at the Zamalek Art Gallery starting 1 April.

The artist takes a turn from the bronze sculptures of his previous exhibtions, and this time presents a series of glossy and brightly-colored figures.

The exhibition takes its name from a term (Macrophobia) referring to the fear of long waits, which results in frustration.

El-Fiky graduated from Helwan Fine Arts University. He participated in the workshop of the Aswan International Sculpture Symposium in 2012, and has exhibited his works in several group and solo shows.

El-Fiky has won several prizes, including the short residency prize at the Egyptian Academy in Rome, Salon of Youth 2012, the Dedication award from the Egyptian Ministry of Culture 2011, 2012, and the Cairo Salon Prize 2013.

Programme:
The exhibition opens on 1 April and runs till 23 April
From 9:30am to 10pm, except Fridays
