The annual Goethe Film Week returns for a fourth edition after several successful years, to open on 12 April at the Goethe Institute in Alexandria and run for five days.
The programme presents a selection of German contemporary feature and documentaries as well as Arabic films, special screenings and film premieres.
Screenings will take place between Goethe-Institut, Teatro Eskendria, Alexandria Center for Creativity, and Jesuit Cultural Center.
The Film Week will open at Goethe Institute with the German film In the Fade.
This year also includes a special programme dedicated to the German filmmaker and artist Haroun Farocki (1944-2014).
Between 15 to 22 April film screenings, discussions and a book launch are curated and presented by Ali Hussein Al Adawy.
