Darb 1718 Contemporary Art and Culture Center will host the annual Peace One Day Festival on Saturday 21 September, featuring a line-up of home-grown musicians and an array of opportunities for visitors to " be the change we want to see in the world," as read the Peace One Day Festival's Facebook page.
Musicians scheduled to perform are Ahmed Safi, Neobyrd, High On Body Fat, Shady Ahmed, Antiqua, The Jokers, Ze Khodz, and Bluenotes. The event will also include educational activities centred on peace and conflict resolution, an NGO fair putting youth in contact with NGOs working with peace, charity, and environmental issues, among others, as well as a bazaar of micro shops by local artisans.
The festival is co-organised by CISV Egypt, a local NGO taking part of an international organisation promoting peace through intercultural and local educational programmes in addition to developmental initiatives.
