The Berlin International Film Festival has a section dedicated to films for children and young people. There are two categories, Generation Kplus (for children four and above) and Generation 14plus (for teens aged 14 or above).
Some of the prizes are awarded by a jury composed of young people, while other awards are given by an international jury.
