Director of the Museum of Antiquities at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA), archaeologist Hussein Abdel-Baseer, signed and spoke about his newly released book, Malekaat Al-Fara’aena (The Queens of the Pharaohs: The Drama of Love and Authority) at Shomou’ Cultural Centre in Alexandria, on Thursday, 1 March.

The book signing was one of the Shomou Cultural Centre’s cultural salons, crowned by the presence of an array of figures from the Ministry of Antiquities and media correspondents interested in how the book tackles the Pharaonic queens who defended Egypt and its independence.

The introduction of the book is written by renowned Egyptian archaeologist Zahi Hawass.
