The Discovery Network has announced the launch of a new chat show on TLC Middle East, North Africa which is already scheduled to host key figures from the Arab world and further abroad.
Planned to premiere in October this year, the new talk show will be hosted by Zainab Salbi, an Iraqi-American author, women's rights activist and humanitarian. Salbi is also the founder and former CEO of a Washington-based non-profit organisation Women for Women International.
Nidaa (The Calling) will target female-viewers focusing on issues of interest to Arab women through interviews and discussions with many known figures from the Arab World, as well as the international scene.
Among scheduled guests of the new show are Egyptian actress Yousra, Palestinian singer and the Arab Idol winner Mohammed Assaf, former president of the United States Bill Clinton, and American fashion designer Donna Karan, among others.
TLC (The Learning Channel) HD Middle East was launched in March 2014 as part of the Discovery Communications-owned pay network.
Currently available on OSN, other Discovery Networks include Discovery Channel HD, Discovery Science HD, Animal Planet HD, Discovery World, and Investigation Discovery, among others.
