Art Alert: Syrian star Assala to perform in Cairo

Syrian superstar Assalah Nasri, one of the best Arab singers, will give a concert at The Marquee in Cairo Festival City on 7 December.

"I am patiently waiting for my meeting with you. We will live moments full of love and joy," Assalah wrote about the event on her official Facebook page that has more than 16 million fans.

Assalah, 49, who has enjoyed wide success in the Arab world, has hosted tens of the best known Arab musicians in her successful TV show Sola, in which featured guests play live.

Assalah's last album, 'Mohtammah Bel-Tafaseel,' was released in May with the track 'Ya Alem' being viewed by tens of millions, while 'Youm El-Raheel' was watched by over 38 million viewers.
