Egyptian pop star Mohamed Hamaki was taken to hospital on Monday after breaking his left foot during a friendly football game with his friends.

The 43-year-old singer will undergo surgery on Wednesday to avoid aggravating his injury.

Hamaki, who has been trending in Egypt after releasing his new album 'Kol Youm Men Dah,' will probably cancel many concerts and private events due to the injury.
