Many Egyptian singers performed successful concerts this week during the country's celebration of Easter and Sham El-Nassim, including mega pop star Amr Diab, who was keen to mark the event with a full house concert at the British University in Egypt (BUE) on Sunday.
"Another amazing full house venue! Thanks to the BUE for the perfect night," the singer said on his 16 million-fan Facebook page.
The multiple award-winner performed tunes from his latest album 'Kol Hayaty' alongside some staples from his repertoire. A video of parts of 'Awel Youm Fi El-Bo'd' – a song off his new album – has been viewed thousands of time after the show.
Tamer Hosni also celebrated in a big concert at Al-Zohour Club in Nasr City, performing his usual repertoire with a focus on his latest album 'Beshou'ak'.
"One of the most beautiful concerts of the year. Thanks to the board and guests of the respectful Al-Zohour club. It was a more than amazing concert," the movie star wrote on his 18 million-fan Facebook page.
Famous two-member band Sharmoofers has ended a four-day music festival in the North Sinai coastal city of Taba, where other bands and singers also performed.
Female star Angham rocked the stage of the Cairo Opera House's Main Hall on Sunday and is performing at El-Sawy Culture Wheel in Zamalek on Tuesday.
A 90s superstar who hasn't released a full album for years, Mohamed Fouad also performed in a concert at Wadi Degla club in New Cairo.
Another 90s star, Hisham Abbas, who keeps his legacy active by hosting successive TV shows, has performed in Madinaty compound's club while Al-Rehab's hosted Bosy.
Ramadan drama star Hamada Helal performed at Al-Shams Club on Monday with his last single 'Ashrab Shai', which has gained millions of views.
Many other stars were keen to appear during the spring break; Rami Sabri was in Porto Port Said, Rami Gamal played in Alexandria at Wadi Degla Club, and Mohamed Adaweya starred in Heliopolis's branch.
