'Indelible', a photography exhibition by renowned photographer and photojournalist Randa Shaath will open at Garden City's Gypsum Gallery on 21 February and run until 5 April.

In this exhibition, Shaath poses the question, “when does one feel at home?” which she explores "through a suite of more than forty colour photographs that she has been working on for the last two years,” the Facebook event description reads.

“She takes her camera inside the homes of family and friends and acknowledges ordinary and familiar objects, moments, and spaces that we often overlook, granting them a grace that evokes the people that breath life into them.”

Shaath is a professor of photography at the American University in Cairo. She was a former photo editor at Al Shorouk daily newspaper, and was also a photographer for Al-Ahram Weekly from 1994 to 2005.

Her repertoire comprises three monographs, including Watani ala Marma Haggar (1988), Misr Umm el Dunia (1990), and Under the Same Sky; Cairo (2003).
