Contemporary artist David Aebi’s first exhibition in Artellewa took place in 2007

Swiss artist David Aebi will hold a solo photography exhibition titled Dovecotes in Ard El Lewa on the tenth anniversary of the opening of Artellewa contemporary art space.

According to the exhibition’s promotional material, Aebi is “dedicated to contemporary art, design and architecture, working in his own photo studio as well as on the road for architects, museums, art collections, artists, curators for books, catalogs and documentation.”

In Dovecotes, Aebi follows birds to poorer neighborhoods, slums, villages and towns in the Nile Delta and captures a variety of structures aimed at housing the different varieties of pigeon flocks.

Exhibition opening: Tuesday 10 January, 7-10pm
The exhibition runs until 28 January, opening hours 12-8pm,
