Born in 1950, Helmi El-Touni has been illustrating works for children since his sophomore year in college.
He has worked to promote the use of "pure Egyptian visual content" in works for children for over 40 years, showing his devotion to his country and culture. Internationally recognised, he is one of the first Egyptian artists to receive a non-Arab award for illustration, at Leipzig in 1982.
Once Upon a Time is an exhibition featuring some of the recent works of El-Touni.
Programme:
Opening on Friday, 16 December at 7pm. The exhibition will run until 6 January 2012, 10:30am-4:00pm and 8:00pm-11: 00pm.
