A discussion on Egyptian photographic heritage will be lead by doctoral candidate at the New York Institute of Fine Arts, Claire Davies on Monday, 27 February.
Collections and archives from the Contemporary Image Collective (CIC) will serve as the base for discussion. Davies identified photographic materials, techniques and conservation issues through her research into private collections.
Ibrahim Abdel-Fattah will also give a presentation on his experience with photo conservation education in Egypt, touching upon his work within public institutions.
Arabic and English interpreters will help facilitate the discussion when needed.
