Egypt, four other Arab countries participate in Baltim Symposium in September

The Baltim Symposium will feature artists from Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Iraq, Yemen and Egypt, aiming to cultivate the Arab fine arts and support cultural relations in the region

Organised by the "Hallmarks of Arab Plastic Artists,” the Baltim Symposium will take place during the first week of September with the participation of Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Iraq, Yemen and Egypt. The event is intended to enrich the Arab fine arts movement and support cultural relations among Arab countries.

Featured Saudi Arabian artists include: Abdullah Nawawi, Aref Al-Ghamdi, Talal Tokhais, Najla Al-Saleem, Donia Al-Saleh and Hanan Al-Rajhi. From Lebanon: Nada Etani, Thareya Halal, Pascal Massoud, Reema Mansour, Samiha Shaaban, Rola Shams Al-Din and Rasha Kaseer. From Iraq: Maha Qaisi, Gamal Al-Etaby and Ali Gathem. Fom Yemen: Hamid Al-Akwa, Seema Aldbai, Hend Al-Shokaa, Ghada Haddad and Shefaa Shuaibi. From Egypt: Mamdouh Al-Qotoury and Imad Al-Hawari, Muhammad Al-Shal, Ahmad Goabayah and Asmaa Shaheen.

A three-day workshop will be held starting the second day of the symposium, following the introductory ceremony. Each artist will paint two artworks, and the programme includes a visit to Tower Burullus to draw sketches of fishing boats and fishermen. The workshop’s artwork will be exhibited.
