Twenty-seven graduating art students will be showcasing their final art projects in ECHO, which runs from 16 May to 2 June at the Sharjah Art Gallery, located at the American University in Cairo (AUC).
The works on display will include installations, paintings, sculptures, video art, photography, among other art forms.
The curators promise a "shift in classical traditional art," inviting art enthusiasts to witness the "uniqueness, the controversy, the breaking of barriers, the introduction of taboo themes and introspection."
The exhibition taps into the interdisciplinary nature of art, introducing history, sociology, psychology and literature into the diverse projects, according to ECHO's Facebook page.
To facilitate access to the New Cairo campus, AUC will be providing transportation from the Tahrir Square campus (Mohamed Mahmoud Gate) at 5pm, and will be returning to the same location at 8:30 pm.
