The Safarkhan Art Gallery will launch an exhibition by ten Egyptian pioneer artists, including Inji Efflatoun and Gazbia Sirry

The Safarkhan Gallery announces the opening of its new exhibition on Tuesday, 1 October, dedicated to the works of the pioneers of the modern Egyptian art scene.

Dubbed “With the Pioneers”, the exhibition will offer its visitors a diverse showcase of works. The exhibition begins with Ragheb Ayad, who pioneered modern Egyptian expressionism, and includes other early Egyptian artists whose art expressed the hopes and beauty of Egyptian life.

Among the works on display wil be those by Inji Efflatoun, Gazbia Sirry, Zeinab Abdel Hamid, Effat Naghi, Salah Taher, Fouad Kamel, and Youssif Sida.

Programme:
The exhibition opens on Tuesday 1 October and runs until 30 October.

Opening hours: Daily (except Fridays), 18:00 to 21:00
