Award-winning film Hawi to be released in cinemas tomorrow

The film, which won the Best Arab Film award, is set in Alexandria

Hawi, Ibrahim El-Batout’s third feature film, is set in Alexandria and revolves around several loosely-connected characters exploring their inner fears and their past. Most of the cast and crew members in the film are Alexandrians themselves, and many are appearing on screen for the first time.

The film won the award for Best Arab Film in the Doha Tribeca Film Festival last year.

The film will be screened at the following cinemas: Metro Downtown, Wonderland, Metro in Alexandria, San Stefano in Alexandria and Samouha in Alexandria.
