The Egyptian director, Aly Badrakhan, one of the possible candidates to head the cinema industry syndicate, will meeting up with television directors this Tuesday at the state television building, known as Maspero.
Badrakhan will present his presidential plans, as he is the main contender against Mosaad Fouda, the former head of the syndicate.
Other contenders include directors Mohamed Fadel and Mamdouh El-Leithy, head of the alliance of art syndicates.
Syndicate members of the syndicate have held many protests against Mosaad Fouda and Mamdouh El-Leithy, since they are both from Egypt’s despised pre-revolution regime.
The elections were scheduled to take place on 10 July, but there are plans to postpone it.
