Art Alert: Cinema Karim to host Zawya's first Short Film Festival

The three-day festival will screen 24 films, which will be followed by Q&A sessions with the film directors

Between 4-7 February, Cairo's Downtown-based Cinema Karim will host Zawya’s first Short Film Festival.

The three-day festival will screen 24 films, which will be followed by Q&A sessions with the film directors.

The participating films will also compete for a total of three awards presented by Misr International Films, which are: Best Film, Jury Prize and Best Director. The competition’s jury comprises filmmakers Hala Khalil, Nadine Khan and Wael Mandour.

The awards will be announced 7 February.

The film lineup will be announced soon.

Programme:
4-7 February, screenings start at 6:30pm
Cinema Karim, 15 Emad El-Din Street, Downtown Cairo
