New Orleans Middle East Film Festival to screen films from Egypt

The festival will screen a number of revolutionary films from Egypt and the region

The Fifth Annual New Orleans Film Festival will open on 9 December and will run until 18 December. Films from Egypt, Palestine, Iran, Syria, Turkey, among others, will be screened during the festival.

From Egypt, the screenings include: Heliopolis, Microphone, Voices and Faces of the Adhan: Cairo, 18 Days, and How to Start a Revolution (a film with collaboration between Iran, Syria and Egypt).

In parallel to the festival opening, an exhibition A Child's View from Gaza, a children's art exhibition from Palestine, will be launched and will be on display until 30 December.

All activities will take place in the Zeitgeist Multi-Disciplinary Arts Centre in New Orleans, Louisiana.
